accent pillow case baby Christmas Trends 2017- Noel pillow covers floral

Welcome the outdoors inside with our Noel trend. Decorations inspired by woodland walks, mingled alongside sparkling ornaments with a vintage feel creates an elegantly rustic feel that’;s traditional and beautiful.?Our talented Head of Design, Debbieaccent pillow case baby, shares how this look will be used in her own home:

“;Have you noticed that this year we’ve created our Christmas collections to layer onto our Autumn Winter themes? So, if you’ve already decorated your home in one of our fabulous schemes – the corresponding Christmas look will be a perfect match. Noel is the corresponding look for the current Autumn Maison Francaise theme. Genius isn’t it! Even if I say so myself.

Did I mention my new kitchen? I suspect I probably did. Christmas will be so different at our house this year because of the new kitchen. It’s great to feel excited about home again and so much more inclined to buying lovely things for the house now that the big project is complete. In previous years I would have been in there on my own mid-morning, getting the bird in and prepping the veg. Now we’ve knocked two rooms into one (and stolen a bit of garden) to make one big sociable kitchen/diner/living space – so we’ll all be able to spend the whole day together.

The scheme is black and white with a slightly Georgian feel. I like to mix the old with the?new, so our Noel Christmas collection is going to fit right in. I love the ‘modern but still pretty’-ness about this range which allows it to work well in both vintage style and contemporary homes. My favourite piece is the beaded snowflake, which is inspired by vintage costume jewellery – and such a bargain at £3. I recently saw this sort of thing on sale in the New York for $15!

Pine cones are one of the main motifs for this trend. Top tip – start collecting them now and bring them inside to dry out. I pick up a few every time I walk the dog. When it comes to trimming up for Christmas, spray them with a bit of faux snow and pile up in a big dish with springs of rosemary fresh from the garden to add greenery and a lovely natural aroma. As they say in Maisons Francaise: Voila!”;

This easy Halloween Table Centerpiece was easy using my?no carve decoupaged Halloween Pumpkins I made last week? I’ve been trying to figure out where to use them, and this week, I’m decorating my table with them.

I’m excited to share with you today the project I’ve been working on for the last 4 months. ?It’s the reason behind all the guest posts this month and total lack of Christmas projects on this blog! This is the 2nd year that I was involved in our church’s Festival of Nativities and this year I was the chairman.

Here’s a super tip from fiber artist Carol Ann Waugh. (I love Carol’s gorgeous “paintings” with fabric and thread as well as her delightful mixed media portraits. Be sure to check out her gallery.)
